The Landing is a unique place of hope and healing for adult men, ages 18 and above, who have been struggling with substance abuse, chemical dependency, and certain co-occurring disorders. Located in a luxurious house in a beautiful beachside neighborhood, The Landing provides clinically superior care, innovative experiential therapies, and a supportive environment in which men can make the real and lasting changes that will allow them to live healthier and happier lives, free from the chains of addiction.
The Landing is dedicated to providing an intensive treatment experience in which men can receive personalized care that addresses their specific strengths, needs, and treatment goals. The Landing is designed to be a place of hope and unity, where eastern healing meets western medicine, where care is both comprehensive in scope and individualized in nature, and where men who have been struggling alone can form unbreakable bonds with fellow members of a vibrant community.
Men who choose to heal at The Landing will work in close collaboration with teams of treatment professionals, including certified substance abuse counselors, nurses, clinical technicians, a board-certified psychiatrist, a licensed therapist, and marriage and family therapy interns, whose expertise is equaled only by their compassion and dedication to helping others. At The Landing, treatment is hardly a passive experience. Our clients play active roles in their own recovery. They set their own treatment goals, provide ongoing feedback on their progress and concerns, and participate in a wide range of therapeutic activities that engage them in body, mind, and spirit.
Treatment at The Landing is highly structured and closely supervised to ensure that each person receives the maximum possible benefit from his time with us. Individual and group therapy sessions are excellent environments in which men can process successes and setbacks, address concerns about their progress, share insights, and learn from the experiences of others, all while developing and practicing healthy interpersonal communication skills. Experiential therapies such as yoga, acupuncture, and meditation provide men with new ways to relax, manage stress, and react to negative experiences in a more productive manner than engaging in substance abuse. Recreational activities such as beach volleyball, swimming, kayaking, and gym sessions help men to develop their physical strength while also discovering new ways to spend leisure hours without resorting to the abuse of alcohol or other drugs. And the delicious meals that are prepared by our executive chef promote continued health and strength while also providing another opportunity for men in treatment to appreciate the many sources of joy that can be part of living a sober life.
