Christian Program for men at Luxurious Drug and Alcohol Rehab Center

Our optional Christian Recovery program is just one of many tools at our disposal to give men the best possible chance at long-term sobriety.
Men often choose to participate in our Celebrate Recovery Christian Program to enhance their addiction treatment. Every man who arrives in Newport Beach to start a new life free of drugs and alcohol with us is going to get the best chance possible at achieving long-term sobriety. The men are all provided with a personalized treatment schedule, which can include Celebrate Recovery participation with Christian drug rehab activities such as:
- Celebrate Recovery process groups and step studies
- Individual counseling with a Celebrate Recovery counselor
- Celebrate Recovery Bible studies and workbook activities
- Celebrate Recovery services and worship services at Saddleback Church
More About Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery was founded in 1991 at Saddleback Church in Orange County, California. This is the same church that our recovering clients will be visiting for Christ-based recovery activities and Sunday church services.
Celebrate Recovery uses the 12 Steps, as well as 8 Recovery Principles that are based on the Bible. These steps and principles, which help men recover from alcoholism and drug addiction, will be familiar to men who have exposure to the scriptures.
Celebrate Recovery welcomes God's healing power in our lives. The counselors and other participants in Celebrate Recovery open the door by sharing their experience, strength, and hope with the newer members. The man can build great momentum toward long-term sobriety when he accepts God's grace in solving his life problems.
Of course, the men are also participating in numerous other therapeutic and physically stimulating activities as part of The Landing curriculum. Once the man begins to grow spiritually, his newfound sobriety is enhanced by his spiritual connection to the Bible and the fellowship he has created with other Christians in recovery. He will become free from his chemical addiction and thus be able to address the underlying issues with the strength and support of the fellowship. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As the man progresses through the program he discovers his personal, loving, and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ.
Those Who Seek God Will Find God
If you have any exposure to the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and other support groups, you will appreciate the 8 Recovery Principles from the Celebrate Recovery Christian Bible.
Step 1: Realize I'm not God; I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable.
Step 2: Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him and that He has the power to help me recover.
Step 3: Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ's care and control.
Steps 4 and 5: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.
Steps 6 and 7: Voluntarily submit to any and all changes God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
Steps 8 and 9: Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I've done to others when possible, except when to do so would harm them or others.
Steps 10 and 11: Reserve a time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.
Step 12: Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and my words.
A Program for Constant Growth and Recovery
Our Celebrate Recovery program can be one component of the recovery process for the man who arrives at our treatment center. The man will also be working constantly toward creating a rewarding life that he enjoys without abusing drugs or alcohol. Men will be involved in daily therapeutic activities such as:
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy Counseling Sessions - 5x per week
- Trauma Therapy - 1 group per week, individual sessions as needed
- Addiction Education and Relapse Prevention Workshops
Since there are only so many hours in a day that a man can participate in therapeutic and educational activities indoors, our clients will also frequently participate in outdoor and social activities that are physically invigorating as well as socially and spiritually stimulating, such as:
- Kayaking
- Beach Volleyball
- Golf
- Surfing
- Massage
- Gym Workouts
- Golf
- Ropes Challenge Course
- Kung-Fu and Tai Chi
Every man's family will also be encouraged to participate in our monthly family program, which will help the entire family grow and support the man's recovery.
