Men’s Drug & Alcohol Detox Treatment Program in Newport Beach

Men who come to our rehab facility will experience a comfortable treatment program with very high success rates. The process of recovery truly begins when the person in need agrees to receive treatment to overcome their misuse of alcohol or drugs.

Men who come to The Landing of Newport Beach for drug rehabilitation can expect to receive kind, supportive and caring treatment from our staff of trained professionals. Once the client arrives, he may need to undergo a medically assisted detoxification process to safely free his body from the chemical dependency, so he can effectively participate in the recovery education he will receive for the next 30 to 90 days of residential addiction treatment.

Our staff has been overseeing drug and alcohol detoxification since 1986, and is dedicated to giving men the best chance at achieving long-term recovery. For this reason, we are experienced in the planning of a detoxification regimen at our treatment program that gives our clients as much comfort as possible, thus ensuring that each person has a good chance of maintaining long-term sobriety. Withdrawal symptoms vary for different addictive substances, and our treatment network has facilities that are California state licensed to provide a safe and effective environment for:

  • Alcohol detox
  • Opiate/opioid/prescription medication detox (i.e., Vicodin, OxyContin, Percocet)
  • Amphetamine (meth or speed) detox
  • Cocaine and crack cocaine detox
  • Heroin detox
  • Polysubstance detox

The detox plan may include the prescribing of Suboxone or Vivitrol by our psychiatrist. We have licensed nursing staff that oversee all components of medication management.

The Rewarding Road to Recovery

The detox process generally lasts between one and 14 days depending on the drug of choice and history of use. The men at The Landing use this time to begin their recovery education by participating in 12-Step meetings that build their self-esteem and confidence. During detoxification, our staff assists in helping each client manage his withdrawal symptoms. We take pride in building momentum early in recovery, so by the time clients have completed detoxifying, they have started their treatment program and:

  • Can identify triggers, dangerous situations, and emotions that cause them to crave their drug of choice.
  • Can discuss underlying issues that contribute to their addiction.
  • Can describe their goals in recovery.
  • Have made connections in the 12-Step support groups that are a critical component of the recovery process.

As soon as clients start to “come out of the fog” through detoxification, they will begin their intensive treatment regimen which includes a variety of therapy modalities, educational workshops, and a very busy slate of fun, esteem-building, and spiritually rewarding rehab activities. If necessary, clients continue taking medication such as Vivitrol (Naltrexone) to reduce relapse cravings.

An Exceptional and Effective Addiction Detoxification Program

Since 1986, Sober Living by the Sea has offered treatment to help men remain sober for the long haul. The Landing was created as a result of the addiction experts at Sober Living by the Sea as an exclusive and comfortable location for men to receive supportive and highly monitored primary residential treatment for addiction and alcoholism.

Once You Arrive, the Recovery Begins

While each client’s experience at The Landing of Newport Beach is an intimate one, where he gets to know the relatively small on-site staff very well, there will be daily excursions for therapeutic activities and daily visits by the best addiction professionals in the treatment industry. The experience will be a comfortable one that seems more like a “resort-like” escape than an extremely sophisticated clinical operation. However, the treatment our clients receive is the best treatment clinically available, performed by top-notch professionals. You or your loved one will, in fact, be “escaping” from the clutches of chemical dependency.
