K. C. Hollmer, BA, CADC II

K.C. Hollmer, a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor and Relapse Prevention Specialist, has over 13 years experience in the field of recovery. Prior to accepting this position for SLBTS, K.C. served as the T.E.A.C.H. Program Director. K.C. also successfully launched the Reflections Rob has over 12 years of continuous recovery with 8 years working in the field of recovery. He is CAAD Certified (CATC) since 2003 with an emphasis on the Social Model of Recovery and Behavioral Modification which focuses on people's strengths and positive attributes. Rob works with clients who suffer from alcoholism, drug addiction, and eating disorders. Additionally, Rob works with those who suffer from dual-diagnosis, bi-polar, or schizo-affective disorders. Rob also has significant experience with drug and alcohol detox. He is a skilled group facilitator and an experienced individual counselor. Rob is proficient in assessing client's needs and constructing and implementing treatment plans. Dave earned his B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Boston (1994), is certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counseling Associate. Dave is a graduate of The Institute for Chemical Dependency Studies. Dave embraces and effectively demonstrates a "Love and Service" orientation to recovery - a welcoming and empowering "Client First" philosophy to Treatment. He is kind and has been present in the 12-Step recovery community since 2000. David has been in the recovery industry for 5 years and with Sober Living by the Sea for the last 3 years. David is passionate about working with men who struggle with alcoholism and drug addiction. He has expertise in relapse prevention education and also with legal issues that our clients face. David is known for developing very strong and enduring relationships with our clients, some of which have lasted for years after treatment. From experience, David is uniquely qualified to communicate with clients and see through their pain to help identify core issues to enable effective recovery. Eric is highly regarded by members of staff and the community of recovery. He brings with him a special gift of love and understanding. Eric has the unique ability too meet people on their own level, while having a deep understanding of what it takes to recapture that love for life. He is our special gift and he shows that love in his true excitement for life. Kurt earned his associates degree in Culinary Arts in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kurt has since worked as a chef in Hawaii's Hotel and Restaurant Industry since 1983. Some of Kurt's chef experiences include The Ritz Carlton Hotel, The Halekulani Hotel, Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, Mauna Kea Resort, and The Molokai Ranch Hotel. Kurt also worked as The Director of Catering for the largest catering company in Hawaii. Kurt has a life philosophy which is to "live Aloha" (one of ahoha's many meanings is "love"). This helps Kurt provide excellent service to guests and also has strengthened his own recovery. Kurt joined The Landing team upon the its inception in 2007. He is also an avid surfer and he rides long boards. Kurt has been in recovery for over two years. Greg grew up in Newport Beach and has lived in, and surfed, Maui for over 10 years. He has nine years of sobriety behind him, one day at a time. Greg brings his heart and a lot of love to the clients at the house. For more information contact The Landing admissions.
