Long Term Alcohol & Drug Rehab Program for Men
With 23 years of experience treating substance abuse in men in California, we have seen that there is a direct correlation between time spent in a supportive living environment and long term sobriety. In fact, time spent participating in a program of supervised recovery is the most favorable indicator of long term abstinence.
Many of our clients at The Landing continue on to our parent facility Sober Living by the Sea which is also located in Newport Beach, CA. Men who have received primary treatment for alcoholism or drug addiction get the help and support they need to successfully integrate back into society and live in the vibrant recovery community of Newport Beach while maintaining long term sobriety.
Sober Living by the Sea's Extended Care program continues the men's individualized treatment program with a daily treatment regimen of educational and supportive therapeutic activities. The man will live with other recovering individuals while continuing to have their recovery program tracked by our staff of addictions experts and attending mandatory:
- group and one-on-one therapy sessions
- 12-step recovery meetings
- addiction workshops
- recovery lectures
- family groups
Extended Care Leads to Supervised Work, College, or Outpatient Programs in California
As the men progress even further into their newly rewarding lives free of alcoholic drinking and chemical dependency, they will inevitably want to "spread their wings" and attend school or resume working. Sober Living by the Sea also has programs that allow clients to continue their supervised recovery program while working or in school. The T.E.A.C.H. program is a groundbreaking structured college program designed specifically for recovering men to attend Orange County colleges in recovery and receive transferable credits from these California colleges while still receiving treatment. Men who are students in the T.E.A.C.H. will receive:
- academic transcript assistance
- monitored study sessions
- use of our state of the art computer lab.
- transportation to and from classes
- career assessment testing
- career and academic guidance counseling
For professionals who are alumni of the Landing, Sober Living by the Sea also has a Transitional Work Program also based in Newport Beach, Orange County, for men who want to return to the workforce while continuing a program of recovery. The Transitional Work Program supports men who want to continue their careers and accomplish their goals while still being monitored and supported by our multi disciplinary staff of addiction treatment professionals.
Also, men can continue on to Sober Living by the Sea's outpatient program which provides a structured and effective recovery program including therapy sessions while the men live at home. The outpatient program services men not only from Orange County, but also from all over the Southern California area: including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties. The outpatient program helps men prevent relapse and maintain their sobriety while living on their own.
