To reference “Life Post-Recovery” is almost an oxymoron. People in the recovery field know that recovery from addiction is a life long process. However, there is a time when the behaviors are managed. Post-recovery can be thought of the point where physical cravings and impulsive behaviors calm. This is where clients usually ask themselves, “What am I going to do with the rest of my life?” This very question has paved the way for some amazing programs we offer to our clients…
T.E.A.C.H. – Here clients can take college courses and explore their interests or return to college and finish up their bachelor’s degree.
Extracurricular Activities – Being in Newport Beach offers exposure to the elements of ocean, sand, mountains and more. Through surfing, volleyball, soccer, hiking and outings clients are able to explore their interests in an active lifestyle.
Mentoring – Through the program of Alcoholics Anonymous our clients gain relationships with men who have years of recovery under their belt. Through these growing relationships men are able to discuss their future and reach out for ideas and insight.
Volunteering – Many of our recovery homes build relationships with non-profits. Through beach clean-ups, walking dogs, serving food to the homeless and tutoring children in reading our clients get the opportunity to be inspired to use their recovery for their own philanthropic investments.
