What We Lost on September 11 and Gained in Recovery

All day our clients have been remembering the events of September 11th, the 3000 lives that were lost and realizing the gift they have to be living lives of their own.Recovery from alcohol and drug addiction is a place between life and death. It’s a period of time that is a constant battle in choosing life over death. Our clients have lost homes, jobs, friends and family by the actions in their addictions. Today, the memory of September 11th is reminding them how valuable that second chance is. We salute all of those who served to help that tragic day, as well as our own clinicians, nurses and staff who serve our clients day in and day out in the hopes of a better life. We especially salute our own clients who are making the choice to live in recovery every day.
