These three phases combine to create a full continuum of treatment services that enable clients who come to this center in their darkest hour to leave with the bright promise of a substance-free life. Furthermore, the dedicated professionals at our center are fully devoted to helping men overcome their addictions while reaching and exceeding all of their treatment goals.

When a man elects to receive care at our beachfront center, his first experience will be a complete assessment to identify his unique needs and determine which types of treatment will best meet those needs. With an emphasis on healing each client in mind, body, and spirit, the following types of treatment may become part of a client’s exceptional treatment experience at The Landing:

Medical detoxification: Once an individual stops engaging in substance abuse, uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms can emerge and compromise his efforts to fully participate in the recovery process. When this is the case for a man who has come to The Landing for treatment, our staff is able to help him undergo medically monitored detoxification. Once detox is complete, we then welcome the individual into our community, ready to help him win the war against addiction.

Medication management: For some, managing the symptoms of anxiety requires more than just honing the necessary coping skills to do so effectively. When this is the case, certain psychotropic medications may be helpful for our clients. Within 72 hours of being at The Landing, each man will meet with our expertly trained psychiatrist, who can determine if such medication is appropriate. If medication is prescribed to help a client manage the symptoms of an anxiety disorder, our nursing and clinical staff members closely monitor the progress of each client for the duration of treatment.

Individual therapy: Offered three times per week for clients in Phase I of our treatment, individual therapy sessions can be invaluable experiences for men who are working to overcome an addiction and an anxiety disorder. Men meet with marriage and family therapist interns for two sessions each week, and then have a scheduled session with one of our certified substance abuse counselors. There is much to gain from receiving individualized attention, and we believe that men can benefit greatly from being able to process their experiences with knowledgeable professionals.

Group therapy: At The Landing treatment and rehab center, we want to provide our clients with the support, education, and guidance they need to be successful in overcoming an addiction to substances and mental health conditions, such as anxiety disorders. Group therapy sessions, the forums in which men at The Landing convene as a united front against addiction, are integral to the care we supply. The following groups, which are held multiple times per week, are among those that a client may participate in while in our care:

Led by marriage and family therapy interns, family sessions are available on an as-needed basis, and can help rebuild the bond between our clients and those whom they hold dear.

Family Program: In addition to helping families heal during family sessions, The Landing is proud to offer a Family Program to help friends and family members learn how they can best help themselves during their loved one’s recovery, gain the skills needed to provide effective support, and become more informed about the disease of addiction. This program enables those closest to our clients to participate in group discussions, multi-family sessions with other families, and presentations led by our dedicated staff members.

The aforementioned treatment methods can be incorporated into a client’s personalized treatment plan depending upon his specific needs. Treatment needs and goals are initially assessed during our streamlined admissions process so that the resulting treatment plan elicits the most favorable treatment outcomes. Additionally, should a client’s needs change during the therapeutic process, his treatment plan can reflect these changes and certain interventions can be added as needed.

Following completion of Phase I of The Landing’s rehab treatment, men can then embark on Phase II, and then Phase III of our care. We have designed our programming to see our clients through until they are fully ready to resume their lives, free from the chains of addiction, confident in managing the symptoms of anxiety, and armed with the skills to remain sober for a lifetime.
